Today, December 15, 2021, Logansport School personnel were made aware of alleged threats being posted on social media towards Indiana schools. The Corporation’s school resource officers began investigating these threats immediately. Law enforcement agencies in our area have reported that there are no known credible threats towards any school in our county or region. The social media post seems to have gone to the national level and is nonspecific in nature.
Taking all this into consideration, the Logansport School Corporation will continue to stress that the safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority. We continue to implement our secured entry procedures, our visitor check-in system, and our safe school protocols. Our school personnel and school resource officers will be extra vigilant to the school environment and visitors in the remaining days of the semester. Please understand that we take all real and alleged threats seriously and are doing all that we can to keep all of our students and staff safe.
