Vaccination clinics at the Cass County Health Department for incoming 6th grade and 12th-grade students
The Cass County Health Department will be holding special vaccine clinics for school-age children on Thursday, March 18th and Thursday, April 8th. All students entering their senior year of high school and students entering their 6th-grade year of the 2021/22 school year are required to have vaccines before the beginning of the school year. All seniors will be required to have a 2nd Meningitis vaccine and are recommended to receive the Meningitis B vaccine. All 6th graders are required to get a Tdap vaccine and Meningitis vaccine. Two doses of Hepatitis A are also required if the student has not already received both doses. All students in this age group are also eligible to receive the recommended HPV vaccine, flu vaccine will also be available.
Only children who have Medicaid, no health insurance, or insurance that does not cover vaccines are eligible to receive vaccines at these clinics. The clinics will be at the Cass County Health Department at 512 High Street by appointment only. Please call the health dept. at 753-7760 to set up an appointment. Before and after school appointments are available for those who schedule early.
