Meet our School Resource Officer at Logansport Junior High School, Sam Fry. Officer Fry graduated from LHS in 2004. Throughout school, he played sports and after graduating he continued his sporting career throughout college. Officer Fry has been engaged in LCSC for many years by coaching wrestling and football.
The road to his law enforcement career started when he was working for the Juvenile Department of Corrections. From there, he took a position with the Logansport Police Department. Officer Fry has served on the department for 5 years, and this is his first school year working as an SRO. When the position opened up to become an SRO, he quickly applied because he enjoys working with kids and working in law enforcement, and this position allows him to combine his passions together. His favorite part of his job is building relationships with students and learning what they are passionate about. Officer Fry said he likes having the opportunity to answer questions students have about laws and hearing about what students think about real-world scenarios.
Thank you, Officer Fry, for everything you do to keep our schools and students safe! #NationalPoliceWeek
