We are pleased to announce that LCSC will be providing Camp Invention again this summer to any student who will be entering 1st-6th grade next school year. Camp Invention will be hosted by Landis Elementary starting on Monday, June 5th and running through Friday, June 9th.
The daily camps will run from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM with lunch provided by LCSC Food Services. Transportation will not be provided for the Camp Invention program, however. The cost of the program is $260 per child. Camp Invention provides discount and sibling codes that you may use at checkout if you sign up before certain dates. Currently, $25 off is available until March 30th. In the past, Camp Invention has had payment plan options when checking out online to allow for some financial flexibility.
Each camper will work their way through four different STEM-related activities throughout the week. This year, campers will:
• Design and create their own skatepark through design learning while grasping the physics at their appropriate grade level in Catching Air.
• Learn the basics of starting their own business and becoming an entrepreneur while creating a 3D model of their business in PopUp Venture.
• Combine science and art to learn about the science behind mood and color while learning about event planning and the creation of prototypes in Invention Celebration.
• Experiment and learn about nature and genetics while learning about intellectual property. Campers will reverse engineer a MimicBot to bring home at the end of the week in MimicBots.
Attached below is the Camp Invention flyer with the discount codes and the upcycle material list that your camper may bring from home.
